Game report

Baldur's Gate III

A solo-friendly RPG Platinum with no online-only trophies.

PS5 Single-player Platinum; co-op optional

Reason

Despite having full 4-player online co-op, the entire base trophy list consists strictly of single-player objectives. There are zero online-only or multiplayer trophies.

Base Platinum Breakdown

  • 100% Single-Player Eligible: Every story choice, combat condition, character romance, and difficulty requirement can be unlocked solo while disconnected from the internet.
  • Local Couch Co-Op Supported: You can play through the entire game solo or via local split-screen co-op on the same console without needing PlayStation Network access.
  • Tactician Difficulty Required: The hardest base trophy is “Critical Hit”, which requires completing the game on Tactician difficulty. This mode is fully accessible offline.

Key Tips for the Platinum

  • Honour Mode Is Optional: The ultra-difficult single-save Honour Mode trophy (“Foehammer”) was added in a post-launch update. It sits on a separate DLC sub-list and is not required to earn the base Platinum trophy.
  • Disable Mods for Trophies: If you download and enable community mods via the console’s built-in Mod Manager, trophies will automatically be disabled. Ensure all mods are toggled off during your Platinum run.
  • Plan for Missables: Dozens of trophies are highly missable depending on story choices (such as “Leave No One Behind” for saving all Tiefling refugees). Multiple playthroughs or careful manual save management will be necessary.
