Reason

While almost the entire game can be played solo or via local offline split-screen, the base trophy list contains one mandatory online trophy that strictly requires a network connection to PlayStation Network/servers:

• “Gun Pals!” (Mandatory Online): You must send an item to a friend using the in-game Social Mail feature. This system relies on active PSN servers to process and deliver the mail. (Note: Your friend does not need to own or be playing the game, but you must be connected online to send it).

Other “Co-op” Trophies Can Be Done Offline

There are two other multiplayer trophies on the list, but both can easily be completed 100% offline using a second controller in local split-screen:

• “I Hope You Didn’t Tea-bag”: Win a duel against another player. (Start a duel with Player 2 in split-screen and win).
• “Stay Away From the Light”: Revive a downed player. (Down Player 2 with a grenade in split-screen and revive them).

(Note: While internet access is required for “Gun Pals!”, a paid PlayStation Plus subscription is not strictly necessary just to send mail, but you cannot be completely offline).
