Reason
While the single-player Campaign trophies can be completed entirely offline, the game features multiple mandatory trophies tied to online Multiplayer and Zombies modes.
- Mandatory Multiplayer Trophies: Several base-game trophies require active online matchmaking against other real players. The most notable roadblocks are:
- Party Patrol: Earn 10 Squad Wipe medals in Fireteam, an online-only multi-team multiplayer mode.
- Mean Machine: Get 100 kills with Scorestreaks in Multiplayer.
- Go the Distance: Win 50 matches in Multiplayer.
- Zombies Requirements: While local offline Zombies is supported for basic play, completing the main quest or Easter eggs to unlock trophies like Seal the Deal, completing the Die Maschine quest, requires an active server connection to save progression and load full game state features properly.
- PlayStation Plus Required: Unlocking the Platinum trophy requires an active internet connection to Call of Duty servers and a PlayStation Plus subscription for online matchmaking.
