Dead Island 2

Two online co-op trophies block the Platinum offline.

PS5 2 online co-op trophies block Platinum

Reason

While the main story, side quests, and challenges can be completed completely solo, the base trophy list contains two mandatory online co-op trophies that require an active internet connection:

  • “Slayer Squad” (Mandatory Online): Complete any 5 quests in co-op mode.
  • “I Am the Resurrection” (Mandatory Online): Revive other Slayers 5 times in co-op mode.

Requirements & Alternatives

  • PlayStation Plus Required: Connecting to online sessions to unlock these two trophies requires an active internet connection and a PlayStation Plus subscription.
  • No Couch Co-Op / Bots: The game does not feature local split-screen or offline AI companions, meaning these two trophies cannot be earned using a second controller offline.
  • Quick Online Cleanup: You only need to jump into online multiplayer briefly to unlock these. Joining a random player’s lobby for 15–20 minutes is enough to clear 5 quick side quests and get 5 revives, after which the remaining 44 trophies can be done entirely offline.
