Dirt 5
One online Playgrounds trophy blocks the Platinum offline.
Reason
While over 90% of the game can be completed offline, there is one mandatory online trophy tied to community features that strictly requires an internet connection:
- “Everyone’s a Critic” (Bronze): Requires you to rate a user-created level in the Playgrounds mode. Because this requires downloading and viewing community-submitted tracks from EA/Codemasters servers, you cannot do this offline.
(Note: You do not need an active PlayStation Plus subscription to download or rate Playgrounds—just a simple, active internet connection. Once you connect briefly to rate a track, you can disconnect and finish everything else offline.)
What Can Be Done Offline
Aside from that single server requirement, the remaining 20 base-game trophies can be earned completely offline:
- Career Mode & Progression: Complete every event across the 5 campaign chapters, unlock all 13 Throwdowns, and hit Level 50 (“Superstardom”).
- Playground Creation: Build and test your own local park (“Blank Slate”).
- Distance Grind: The most time-consuming trophy, “Spare Some Change for Gas?” (drive 1,000 miles total), can be accumulated offline in Time Trials or standard races.
