The open-world campaign works offline, but the Platinum requires online co-op and server-hosted Special Operations.

Reason

While the massive open-world campaign, collectibles, and side quests can all be completed solo offline, the base game trophy list includes mandatory online server requirements.

  • Mandatory Online Co-Op Trophy: The trophy Co-Dependent requires you to capture any FND Military Base while playing in online co-op with another player. There is no split-screen or local couch co-op option for this. It must be completed over PlayStation Network.
  • Special Operations Mode Requirements: Trophies like Overheated, Stay Cool, and Hidden Cash require completing Special Operation missions via the NPC Lola. Launching these missions requires a live connection to Ubisoft servers.
  • PlayStation Plus Required: To host or join a co-op partner for Co-Dependent and access server-hosted Special Operations, an active PlayStation Plus subscription and an internet connection are required.
