Reason

While the vast majority of the game focuses on its single-player campaign mode (City Rumble), the base trophy list contains 3 mandatory online multiplayer trophies that require an internet connection and an active PlayStation Plus subscription:

• “One against all” (Bronze): Complete a Quick Race in Multiplayer mode.
• “You have what it takes” (Bronze): Reach the podium (top 3 finish) in a total of 3 Quick Races in Multiplayer mode.
• “Unstoppable” (Silver): Win a total of 5 Quick Races in Multiplayer mode.

(Note: These 3 trophies cannot be unlocked using local split-screen mode. However, if you briefly jump online to knock out the 5 multiplayer wins—which can be boosted quickly with a friend in a private lobby—you can disconnect and finish 100% of the remaining Platinum grind entirely offline).

What Can Be Done Offline

Aside from the multiplayer requirements, the remaining 50 trophies can be completed completely offline:

• City Rumble Campaign: Complete all race events, time trials, boss fights, and secret pads (“King of the city” / “Keeper of Secrets”).
• Local Split-Screen: The “Friends no more” trophy only requires you to complete a single race using two controllers in local split-screen.
• Track Builder: Create and validate 5 custom tracks locally (“Expert builder”).
• Collection & Progression Grind: Collecting 100,000 total coins (“Unbridled luxury”), collecting 25,000 gears (“What do I do with so many?”), opening 100 blind boxes (“Box collector”), and drifting 500,000 centimeters (“Master of drift”) are all tracked locally.
