Game report
No Man's Sky
A solo exploration Platinum that can be earned offline.
Reason
Despite being a vast universe with shared online features and multiplayer servers, the core base game was designed so every single requirement for the Platinum trophy can be earned completely offline in single-player mode.
Base Platinum Breakdown
- 100% Single-Player Eligible: All 23 base-game trophies (1 Platinum, 8 Gold, 8 Silver, 6 Bronze) track locally on your console.
- No Server Connectivity Needed: Even though you can upload discoveries (planets, flora, fauna) to the online servers when connected, doing so offline still counts toward in-game milestone milestones and trophy tracking.
- Optional Update Trophies: Free post-launch expansions (such as Path Finder, Foundation, or Expedition updates) added extra trophies on separate sub-lists, but none of these DLC/update sub-lists are required to unlock the main Platinum trophy.
Primary Trophy Requirements
Most trophies in No Man’s Sky are tied to attaining maximum rank in core Journey Milestones:
- “Galapagos” (Gold): Uploading all fauna/creature scans on 10 complete planets.
- “A Space Odyssey” (Gold): Warping 60 times to different star systems.
- “The Diamond Age” (Gold): Accumulating a total of 2,000,000 Units at one time.
- “Citizen of the Galaxy” (Gold): Learning 150 Alien words from monoliths and alien interactions.
- “The Sentinel” (Gold): Surviving 32 Sols (in-game days) on a planet with extreme weather or hostile Sentinels.
- “The Forever War” (Gold): Destroying 80 enemy starships in space combat.
