Almost everything works offline, but one base-game trophy requires an online Daily Challenge.

Reason

While virtually the entire game is designed for single-player play, one base-game trophy requires an online connection.

  • The Online Roadblock: The trophy In-Field Training requires you to complete a Daily Challenge in Simulation Mode. Simulation Mode requires you to connect to live online servers to download daily seeds and log your run on the global leaderboards.
  • PlayStation Plus Status: You only need an internet connection to access Simulation Mode. A PlayStation Plus subscription is not required to download or complete Daily Challenges.
  • All Other Trophies Work Offline: Every other trophy, including all boss fights, Act completions, House sequences, and finding all biome Ciphers and Scout Logs, can be done completely offline.

The extra Ascension DLC expansion, which includes the Tower of Sisyphus, is separate and optional for unlocking the main Platinum trophy.
