Reason

The Last of Us Part II Remastered has no traditional multiplayer mode and zero online requirements to earn the Platinum trophy.

  • Zero Online Trophies: All 26 base-game trophies (including story completion, maxing out player upgrades, upgrading all weapons, and finding all collectibles) are earned entirely offline in single-player.
  • No Return Mode Is Optional for Platinum: While the PS5 Remaster adds the roguelike mode No Return, this mode’s trophies (including its offline challenge tracks and Daily Run feature) exist in a separate DLC sub-list. You do not need to play No Return to unlock the Platinum trophy.
  • Grounded & Permadeath Are Optional: Just like No Return, the extra difficulty and Permadeath trophies are separate from the main base list required for the Platinum.
  • New Game+ Required: Because there are not enough supplements or weapon scrap in a single campaign run to fully upgrade both Ellie and Abby, you will need to start a New Game+ run (offline) to max out your remaining skills and weapons.
